M1 High-Yield Savings Account Promotion for Q3 2023

Affiliate Partner Promotion Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions are entered into by M1 Spend LLC (“M1”, “we” or “us”), and the affiliate partner (“Affiliate”), and shall govern the promotion that Affiliate promotes for M1 as set forth in these M1 High-Yield Savings Account Promotion for Q3 2023 terms and conditions (“HYSA Promotion Terms and Conditions” or “Promotion”) and the Affiliate Partner Program Terms and Conditions (“M1 Affiliate Partner Program”), which, together with these HYSA Promotion Terms and Conditions, form the Parties’ “Agreement.”

In the event of any inconsistency or conflict between these HYSA Promotion Terms and Conditions and the M1 Affiliate Partner Program, the terms and conditions of the M1 Affiliate Partner Program shall control.

Promotion Period: July 1^st (12:00am ET), 2023 through September 30^th (11:59pm ET), 2023

• All commissions earned starting July 1^st, 2023 (12:00am ET) will be eligible for this promotion – for opted-in affiliates only.
• Bonus commissions will be paid as a lump sum monthly based on performance for the previous month.
  • E.g., July bonuses will be paid in August, August bonuses will be paid in September, September bonuses will be paid in October.
• This Promotion is only available through 11:59 p.m. ET on the last day of the Promotion Period. M1 is the sole and official timekeeper.

Promotion Rules and Details

• On top of standard Affiliate Partner compensation (Contract Terms on Rakuten), all Affiliate Partners who opt in and qualify (meet criteria – see next section below) will earn an additional $25 per Savings Account Initial Fundings of $100+ and an additional $30 per Savings Account Qualified Fundings of $1,000+, paid as bonus each month for the month prior.
  • Savings Account Initial Funding of $100+ : $75 affiliate payout
  • Savings Account Qualified Funding of $1,000+ : $100 affiliate payout
• Affiliate partners will be eligible to receive the incremental payment as long as the new users referred in the promotion period:
  • Are non-fraudulent.
  • Join M1 using the Affiliate Partner’s designated Rakuten tracking link specifically for the M1 High-Yield Savings Account. If someone does not use the Affiliate Partner’s Rakuten tracking link or does not use it correctly, both base and additional promotion commission will not be rewarded. Please double check that links work properly before sharing. User referral links and broken links will not count. No exceptions. Please email ra_m1finance@mail.rakuten.com if you would like us to double check your link(s) prior to launch.
  • Join M1 as a new user between July 1^st (12:00am ET), 2023 and September 30^th (11:59pm ET), 2023 AND meet payout criteria per contract terms in Rakuten.

A “New User” must have (1) never registered for an M1 user account; (2) successfully opened an M1 user account within the Promotion Period, and (3) successfully open an M1 High-Yield Savings Account using the designated Rakuten tracking link specifically for the Promotion within the Promotion Period.

Criteria to Qualify

• Affiliate must opt-in to qualify for this promotion. Please email ra_m1finance@mail.rakuten.com stating you are interested in participating in the Q3 2023 M1 High-Yield Savings Account Promotion.
  • If you are not currently authorized to promote M1 High-Yield Savings Account, you will be extended an offer to do so. This offer will reflect baseline affiliate commissions only. You must accept the new offer and update all of your affiliate links (including Invest, Credit, and Crypto links – changing your offer will trigger your affiliate tracking link to change).
• Affiliate partner must create original pieces of content about the new M1 High-Yield Savings Account specifically. This content must be dedicated to the M1 High-Yield Savings Account.
• Affiliate content specific to the M1 High-Yield Savings Account must include the Rakuten tracking link specifically driving to the M1 High-Yield Savings Account affiliate landing page.

    • Find M1 Finance using the advertiser search box or by selecting Programs > My Advertisers.
    • Click on M1 Finance to view the advertiser’s detail page
    • Click the Links tab on the left
    • Click on # of Available Links for the link type you want to use.
    • On the next page, find and tick the specific (link or links) you want. You can select multiple links using the check box to the left of each link. Please see below the Link and Banner IDs that are associated with the M1 Finance High Yield Savings Account.
      • Link IDs: 35, 36, 37, 38, 39.
      • Banner IDs: 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 38, 42, 46, 50, 54, 58, 62, 66, 70, 74, 78, 82, 86, 90, 94, 98, 102.
    • Copy the link code for each link to the clipboard. You have several options to get the link code: a) Click Get Link for a single link, b) select Send All via Email to send the link code via email, or c) Export All to .csv to save the link code to an Excel file.
• Bonuses will be calculated at the beginning of each month and awarded for the previous month. Affiliate Partners can expect to receive their payment for any additional compensation within 1-60 days after the last day of each month.
• All content must adhere to compliance guidelines. Please refer to the disclosure library here, and pages 19 and 20 of the Partner Brief here
  • You may not include promissory language or imply in any way that results are guaranteed, including certain emojis.
  • You must include a general affiliate disclosure on your site, stating that the views expressed in your content are your opinion and are not financial advice.
  • You must also include in the general affiliate disclosure that you may receive commission.
  • You must include all other relevant disclosures required, as outlined in the disclosure library.
  • In video content, please include the following disclosure: Information presented is accurate as of (date the video is recorded or posted). For the latest information, please visit m1.com.
• All content must adhere to product details as provided in Rakuten.
  • The product matrix for the High Yield Savings Account can be found on the Program Homepage on the Rakuten Dashboard.
    • Look up M1 Finance using the Advertiser Search or go to Programs > Categories
    • Then click on Advertiser Info and then Program Homepage which will give you access to all the product matrixes.
• All content must either be in English or include English subtitles/translations
• This Promotion is non-transferrable and is available only to Affiliates 18 years or older who are U.S. citizens or certain eligible legal U.S. Residents. M1 reserves the right to terminate this Promotion at any time, to limit the amount of bonus commissions you are eligible to receive, and to refuse or recover any commission if M1 determines that it was obtained under wrongful or fraudulent circumstances, that inaccurate or incomplete information was provided for this Promotion, that any terms of the M1 Affiliate Partner Program have been violated or the HYSA Promotion Terms and Conditions have been violated.
• M1 reserves the right to change, cancel, extend, or otherwise alter this offer at any time, for any reason, with or without advanced notice.
• M1 reserves the right to approve or deny any qualified referral and corresponding standard or additional compensation at any time, for any reason, with or without advanced notice.
• By participating in the M1 Affiliate Partner program, you automatically agree to follow these terms and conditions, on top of the existing standard Affiliate Partner Terms and Conditions, which you agreed to when joining the M1 Affiliate Partner program.
